Today's Route

We left Palm Desert after a good night sleep.  We purchased fuel and took off.  We planned for a boring day of driving.  We traveled a total of 453 miles, all desert but for the cities. The destination for today is Willcox Arizona.

Phoenix is shown here.  We drove through it and Tempe as fast as the freeway would allow us.  There are many things to see here and several areas that are worth exploring, but not this trip. The sky was beautiful today.  

The rest stops are many in the State of Arizona.  They seem to come every 50 miles or so.  They are well landscaped and very clean.  You can buy a bottle of very cold water or soda, and the people we met were very friendly.

The colors this year are fantastic.  This bush is all over the state.  The orange if brilliant.

Here we are in Willcox.  Not sure if you can see the sign, but it says there are 2 ATM's in town.  I guess we hit the big time.
